The trial, if successful, will bring a new round of environmental technology revolution. New solar trash compactor not only reduces the volume of waste, but also has a large trash capacity. The application of this new model trash compactor will certainly reduce the workload of sanitation workers.

This new solar trash compactor can use solar energy to compress the garbage. Inside the compactor there is a sensor, when the garbage piled in to a certain extent, the machine will automatically start to compress the garbage.

According to the engineer from the Sanitation department said: “This new trash compactor can work with only a small amount of sunlight to achieve the automatic compression of garbage in the trash. There is a sensor inside the compactor. When the garbage reaches a certain level, the machine will automatically start to compress the garbage. The experimental results are satisfied. I believe that soon, it will become a widely used garbage bin. ”

Reporters learned from Hasswell Technologies that the solar trash compactor can hold about 0.8 cubic meters of garbage. The main driving force of the compression is from a 12V solar battery, which relies on the sunshine to charge. It is learned that the solar trash compactor is already applied in the U.S. and Britain, as it can compress waste materials, which can effectively reduce the workload of sanitation workers.

In the past, no matter in domestic of China or in other countries, the garbage bin is always full of trash and emits some unpleasant odor. With the development of productivity and technology in China, Hasswell technologies started to develop solar trash compactor since 2009. The Solar trash compactor newly developed by Hasswell, has a volume capacity0.12 m3, which can be placed into the trash natural volume of 0.57 cubic meters, greatly reducing work of the Sanitation workers.

The newly developed trash compactor does not rely on municipal power supply, totally dependents on solar panels on the top. Even in rainy or cloudy weather it will work, as long as there is a b0eam of light shine. The energy consumption of this solar trash compactor is so low, that it would work for one week with the energy of burning a pot of water. And the energy of moving a garbage truck for one kilometer could make this trash compactor work for several years.

Compression built-in function is a highlight of the trash compactor, with a voltage of 12-volt DC motor drive, and500 kgmaximum pressure. Equipped with a microprocessor control system which is capable of sensing the amount of trash storage and the current state of the machine, the trash compactor can start automatically for the compaction operation. Compaction cycle is only tens of seconds, and the unique design of the structure compresses the trash into only a quarter of the original volume.

Solar trash compactor weights 350kg, the bottom area is similar with the normal garbage bin, but a little higher. The trash compactor is using metal or recycled plastic for the trash containers to avoid leaking liquid, can also use garbage collection bags. The trash compactor is completely sealed off while the gate closed, isolating from insects and the outside the climate, partially blocks the odor escape. With Corrosion-resistant structure, it requires very low maintenance cost, with a service life up to 5 years. The solar trash compactor can be equipped with a specific icon for paper or bottles, to achieve recyclable materials segregation in the collection source.
