According to the engineer from the Sanitation department said: “This new trash compactor can work with only a small amount of sunlight to achieve the automatic compression of garbage in the trash. There is a sensor inside the compactor. When the garbage reaches a certain level, the machine will automatically start to compress the garbage. The experimental results are satisfied. I believe that soon, it will become a widely used garbage bin. ”
Reporters learned from Hasswell Technologies that the solar trash compactor can hold about 0.8 cubic meters of garbage. The main driving force of the compression is from a 12V solar battery, which relies on the sunshine to charge. It is learned that the solar trash compactor is already applied in the U.S. and Britain, as it can compress waste materials, which can effectively reduce the workload of sanitation workers.
